Former MP Jim Gouk endorses Andrew Scheer
Jim Gouk who served as a Reform, Canadian Alliance and Conservative MP from 1993 to 2006 is supporting Andrew Scheer for Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Mr. Gouk said: "I am supporting Andrew as I see him as the only candidate with the credibility, skills and experience necessary to take on Trudeau and his reckless agenda. Although I looked favourably at Andrew from the start, I waited until I had seen all the candidates and their positions before committing my support. Andrew has emerged as the only one with a reasoned approach and the focus needed in a leader. He has not been distracted by the radicals within the campaign and has shown his ability to rise above the reckless rhetoric of some other candidates."
Mr. Gouk served as the MP for Kootenay West-Revelstoke, West-Kootenay-Okanagan, Kootenay-Boundary-Okanagan and British Columbia Southern Interior.
