Former Ontario MP Bryan Hayes endorses Andrew Scheer
Today, Bryan Hayes, Member of Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie from 2011-2015 announced his endorsement of Andrew Scheer as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
“I had the opportunity to travel to Rome with Andrew who led the Canadian delegation to attend the canonization of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha,” said Hayes. “He represented Canada with compassion, integrity and humility, all characteristics of true leadership”.
“Andrew is a proven leader who leads with diplomacy and tact but above all that, he knows how to treat all people with respect and clearly understands that that is paramount to being a successful Prime Minister. I am extremely confident Andrew will represent Canadians on the world stage the way we deserve,” Hayes continued.
“Bryan was a fantastic MP who represented his constituents well,” said Scheer. “I’m grateful for his support and happy to be working with him to bring all Conservatives together with a view to beat the Liberals in 2019.”
With his endorsement, Mr. Hayes joins 24 MPs, eight Senators, 29 MLAs and MPPs and ten former MPs supporting Andrew Scheer for Leader of the Conservative Party.
