Marc-André Leclerc joins Andrew Scheer’s team
Marc-André Leclerc has been appointed Quebec director of Andrew Scheer’s team for the Conservative Party’s leadership race.
Born in Roberval, Marc-André Leclerc has been involved with the Conservative Party for the past ten years. In 2007 and 2008, he was part of the campaign staff of the Hon. Denis Lebel, MP for Lac-Saint-Jean. In 2010, he joined the permanent staff of the Conservative Party of Canada in Ottawa. For six years, he was director of operations for Quebec and deputy director of communications.
In 2015, during the electoral campaign, he played a major role in the election of some twelve Quebec Conservative MPs. Until recently, Mr. Leclerc was deputy director for relations with the media, as well as press secretary and Quebec advisor in the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition in the House of Commons.
“I’m delighted that Marc-André has agreed to play a major role within my team. I’m excited to work with him, as he’s very familiar with Quebec issues and with our membership in various Quebec regions”, commented Andrew Scheer.
