The reports about the conditions inside Justin Trudeau's quarantine hotels are truly disturbing. A woman was sexually assaulted at a quarantine hotel in Montreal, there are reports that travelers have found the deadbolts removed from their hotel room doors, and travelers have been told that they are not allowed to post photos and videos online about the conditions inside the hotels.

WHEREAS there have been reports of unsafe and deplorable conditions at federal quarantine hotels;
WHEREAS there have been reports that food and water are not always readily available at federal quarantine hotels;
WHEREAS there have been reports of sexual assaults at federal quarantine hotels;
WHEREAS travelers have been told that they are not permitted to document and publicize the conditions inside federal quarantine hotels;
AND WHEREAS federal government officials are unable to explain what data demonstrates that the mandatory hotel requirement leads to better public health outcomes than safely quarantining at home;
THEREFORE, WE THE UNDERSIGNED hereby call on the federal government to immediately bring an end to this deeply flawed program and replace it with a more effective system of enhanced pre- and post-arrival testing for international travelers and better and safer enforcement of the at-home quarantine.
